WHIN also leads a regional approach to the prevention of violence against women, working with local government, community health, primary care partnerships and community organisations. This work is guided by a regional prevention strategy and cross-sector committee.

WHIN's work covers the municipalities of Banyule, Darebin, Hume, Moreland, Nillumbik, Whittlesea and Yarra.
