Financial Recovery from Family Violence

Are your clients struggling with family violence-related debts?

Consumer Action Law Centre is offering a free workshop for family violence workers and community workers about:

  • Options to help your clients recover from financial abuse
  • Your clients’ legal rights against banks and businesses about their money problems
  • Practical strategies for complaining to banks and businesses
  • What free Ombudsman schemes can do for your clients
  • How you and your clients can get free and independent financial help and legal advice 

The workshop will include case study discussions, an interactive Q & A session and an optional discussion session from 12.30pm-1pm. The workshop will bring people together from different agencies for mutual learning.

Please note this workshop is a repeat of the workshops held in July and September 2020 and is not suitable for experienced financial counsellors.
